I am looking at putting some light gravel in my backyard. Should I put down a ground tarp first to eliminate weed growth? I also want a gravel that has a variety of colors, rather than all one color of rock.

I am doing some concrete work and landscaping in my backyard. I am going to need to get a lot of sand and gravel in order to get the project done. I will have to find a sand and gravel supplier.
